Reva: A shocking incident of theft has come to light from Mauganj district. A mountain of sorrows fell on a family living here when after the marriage of their daughter was confirmed, lakhs of rupees were stolen from the house of the family who had taken Tilak to the boy’s house before the marriage. When the family returned, the ground slipped beneath their feet. The miscreants entered the house and took away all the jewelery with which the daughter was about to go to her in-laws’ house after adorning herself. The thieves shattered the dreams of the daughter as well as her parents. By stealing gold and silver jewelery and cash worth lakhs of rupees, the thieves took away the happiness of marriage from the family.

This incident of theft in an empty house took place in Kusri village of Baryakala Gram Panchayat located in Mauganj district. The marriage of the daughter of Ramshankar Pandey, who lives here, was fixed in Naun village located in Hanumana police station area of ​​Mauganj. The date of daughter’s marriage was kept for 19th February. Last Saturday, just before the wedding, all the family members had gone to the boys’ house with Tilak. When the family members returned to their home late at night, the ground slipped beneath their feet. They found the back door of the house open. Seeing all the scattered things inside the house, they feared some major disaster. When he looked around inside the house, he was shocked. The locks of boxes, suitcases and cupboards were all broken.
Theft of 20 thousand cash and gold and silver jewelery worth 31 lakhs
The family alleges that thieves have taken away about 14 tola gold, about 2 kg 180 grams of silver jewelery and Rs 20 thousand in cash from their house. The price of jewelery is approximately Rs 31 lakh 61 thousand. The family members immediately informed the police dial 112 about the incident of theft in the house, after which after receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and started investigating and collected evidence from the incident site.

Victim Ramashankar Pandey told that, “On Saturday, when all the members of the house had gone to Hanumana with Tilak, they locked the shop of the house and handed over the keys of the house to the neighbor and entrusted him with the responsibility of guarding the house. After this, at around 1 o’clock on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, when all the people returned, the house was locked from outside, but all the stuff inside the house was lying scattered, the locks of the cupboard and the shoecase were broken and the gold and silver kept in it were missing. Jewelery worth lakhs was missing, while the family members had expressed apprehension about the person to whom they had given the keys to guard the house.
Victim’s family hurt by theft incident at home
The family members have demanded that appropriate action should be taken as soon as possible and the accused should be caught and strict action should be taken against them.
