Bhopal. “Gender Sensitization and POSH Awareness Workshop” was organized by the Women Empowerment Cell and Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of LNCT University, under the aegis of IQAC, in collaboration with National Commission for Women and Yuvamanthan. This workshop was organized in accordance with the UGC guidelines and the provisions of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act (POSH Act, 2013). The keynote speaker of the workshop was Prof. Senior Professor of National Law Institute University. Sushma remained shy. In his address, he highlighted the importance of gender equality, institutional accountability and effective implementation of the POSH Act in higher educational institutions. He said that it is the collective responsibility of teachers, staff and students to ensure a safe and dignified campus.

The program was started by presenting a sapling to the keynote speaker as a mark of respect. A total of 175 participants including professors, staff and students of the university participated enthusiastically in the workshop. The interactive session made the program informative and effective. At the end of the program, all the participants took an oath to adhere to the principles of equality, dignity and zero tolerance towards sexual harassment and reiterated their resolve to maintain a safe and inclusive educational environment. Women Empowerment Cell and ICC expressed gratitude to the university management for organizing such an important event. The University reiterates its commitment to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive campus for all.
