Raipur : A total of 11 members of Ujala women self-help group in village Dakaipara under Baikunthpur district of Korea district have created a special identity in the market this time on Holi with natural colors. The initiative, which started just 10 days ago, has today reached the production of over 100 kg of herbal gulal, and the production is still ongoing. This herbal gulal prepared by the women of Bihaan under the guidance of Collector Chandan Tripathi of Korea is also being made available online.

Women of the self-help group told that it is being sold in the market at the rate of Rs 300 per kg. The demand for this herbal gulal is also increasing rapidly online. By selling herbal gulal at the rate of Rs 300 per kg, the group has earned an income of Rs 3,200 in just two days. Considering the market preference on the festival of Holi, further increase in demand is expected.

The women of the group preparing herbal gulal were given training by the staff master trainer of National Rural Livelihood Mission Bihan. After the product was ready, Bihaan staff assisted the group in beautiful packaging as per the market demand. The group has started this work by taking internal loan. His confidence and entrepreneurship have been given a new dimension with the help of Bihaan.
