Raipur : On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai along with his wife Kaushalya Sai, during his stay in Raigarh, reached 108 Satyanarayan Baba Dham located in village Kosmanara late at 1 o’clock in the night. He worshiped Lord Bholenath and 108 Satyanarayan Baba and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the people of the state. During this, Chief Minister Sai formally laid the foundation stone of various development works at a cost of Rs 1 crore 20 lakh under the District Mineral Trust head. The proposed works include construction of shed with granite floor in front of the main building, construction of shed for rest and food of visitors, construction of toilet complex building and construction of cement concrete road for parking area. Congratulating the people of the area for these works, he said that this will provide better facilities to the devotees. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that this Dham situated in Kosamanara is a major center of reverence and faith. The spiritual energy here provides positive direction and self-confidence to the society. He said that the state government is continuously moving forward on the path of public welfare with the blessings of the teachers and the trust of the people.
It is noteworthy that this Dham, located about 7 kilometers away from Raigarh district headquarters, has been the main center of faith of devotees for years. A large number of devotees reach here to have darshan of 108 Satyanarayan Baba and Lord Bholenath. According to local folklore, 108 Satyanarayan Baba has been engaged in rigorous penance since the year 1998. In the year 2003, he received the title of ‘108’, after which the fame of the Dham increased further. It is said that Baba collected stones and created the form of Shivalinga and made the same place his penance. Staying in an open place and worshiping Lord Bholenath during rainy, summer and winter seasons has become a special identity of his penance. On this occasion, Mayor Jeevardhan Chauhan, Municipal Corporation Chairman Degreelal Sahu, local public representatives, Sarpanch, distinguished citizens, Collector Mayank Chaturvedi, Senior Superintendent of Police Shashimohan Singh, other administrative officers and a large number of devotees were present.
