Young man beaten to death with a rod on the road in Bihar

Bhagalpur. A youth was murdered on the road at Sahebganj Chowk, Church Road in Bhagalpur district. The deceased Kundan Kumar alias Buchcho Yadav (28 years), son of Company Yadav, had left home towards the Chowk at 11:50 am. At a short distance from the house, neighbor Shankar Mahato attacked him with an iron rod. Kundan suffered serious injuries on the back of his head and died before reaching the hospital. At the time of the incident, a meeting of the women’s committee of the locality was going on, but no one could help. As soon as information about the incident was received, City SP and DSP reached the spot. The forensic team collected several evidences from the spot and the police are examining the CCTV footage. Raids are going on to arrest the accused. Preliminary investigation has revealed that a few days ago there was a dispute between the deceased and the accused over some issue, in which an incident of assault also took place. At the time of the murder the surrounding crowd only watched the spectacle. People were frightened by the flow of blood and loud screams, but no one tried to save Kundan. As soon as the information was received, a huge crowd of local people gathered, causing a traffic jam on the road. Police removed the people and restored traffic.
