Bhopal. IPS officers posted in the state have received the New Year gift of promotion on the evening of 31st December. In the list released on Wednesday, Niranjan Wayangankar has also been promoted from DIG to IG. After Maharashtra deputation, his CR deteriorated, due to which he lagged behind his fellow IPS officers by 9 years. His batchmate has become ADG. Niranjan B Wayangankar was finally promoted from DIG to IG.
Wayangankar is a 1999 batch officer
Got promotion to the post of IG after 9 years. He is a 1999 batch IPS officer, while Deepika Suri and Rakesh Gupta of his batch have now reached the post of Additional Director General of Police. Wayangankar could not get promotion for the last several years due to his poor CR. Here, 6 IPS officers including the Superintendent of Police of five districts have been given junior administrative grade conditionally. SP Guna Ankit Soni, Neemuch SP Ankit Jaiswal, Vidisha SP Rohit Kashwani, Dewas SP Puneet Gehlod, Khargone SP Ravindra Verma and 15th Corps Commandant Hitika Vasal have been sanctioned junior administrative grade pay with the condition that they compulsorily attend Mid Career Training Phase 3 in the next session without any relaxation.
Pankaj Srivastava given responsibility of CID
Pankaj Srivastava has also been given the responsibility of Special DG of CID. Pankaj Srivastava has been given the additional charge of Special DG of CID.
