The new visitor room built at Sai Mandir Navapur Ghat in Ghazipur is now completely ready. As soon as it is built, a clear increase is being seen in the number of devotees and common people coming to the ghat. This visitor room has been specially designed keeping in mind the religious events, social programs and convenience of the devotees. Till now people used to sit directly on the ghat to see the Ganga, but after the construction of the visitor room, people are able to sit in the shade and see the grandeur of the Ganga.

Construction has been done on the lines of Dashashwamedh Ghat.
This arrangement has been made on the lines of rest and event spaces built at major ghats like Dashashwamedh Ghat of Varanasi, where people use the space for religious programs as well as family functions. Sai Temple priest Arun Kumar Mishra tells Local18 that the biggest benefit of the visitor room will be seen during festivals. On big bathing festivals like Makar Sankranti, when huge crowds come to the ghat, devotees will be able to change their clothes in an organized manner. This will provide great convenience especially to women, who till now were forced to change clothes in the open or in uncomfortable conditions. He told that this visitor room will prove to be very useful even during Chhath festival. When the number of devotees suddenly increases at the ghat, then people will be able to stay here for some time.

Will be used for social work
This place will become a safe resting option for the elderly and children. Priest Arun Kumar Mishra says that the visitor room can also be used for social events. Small family functions like ring ceremonies can be organized here. Besides, it will also provide temporary stay facility for the poor and the devotees coming from outside. Local people believe that the construction of the visitor room has further strengthened the identity of Navapur Ghat.
Now this ghat will not be limited to just bathing and worship, but will also become a center for religious tourism and social activities. This expansion of facilities along with Ganga Darshan takes the usefulness of the Ghat to a new level.
