Bhopal: It is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh that we have the highest number of tigers in the country. Therefore, it has been decided to create a Tiger Corridor between 5 National Parks. This suggestion was put forward to Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari through Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. He has given consent on this. This is also very important for NHAI because there is only one place in the country where a Tiger Corridor can be made by connecting 5 national parks. This project will cost more than Rs 6000 crore. Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh said these things during a press conference.
Tourism based activities will continue in Tiger Corridor
In a press conference organized on the occasion of completion of 2 years of the tenure of the state government, Minister Rakesh Singh said, “There will be tourist-friendly facilities on all the roads of the corridor. It will be known by the name of Tiger Corridor in the country and also in the world. This will attract a large number of tourists. Certainly, when tourists come to an area, new employment opportunities are also provided to the people there. The state government has identified the place for the corridor. Tourist-based activities will continue here.”
‘506 public welfare ponds built in 1 year’
Minister Singh said, “Whenever a road is built, soil or other minerals are required. Wherever the construction process goes on, the environment is also harmed. But our department has decided that wherever the road will be built, the soil will be taken out from around it in such a way that a pond can be formed there. 506 such public welfare ponds have been constructed in the Public Works Department in one year. Many more welfare ponds will be constructed in the coming time. This will help in improving the ground water level of the state. Can be improved.”
Will take help of Bhaskaracharya Institute for water conservation
The Public Works Minister said that “The rain water that falls on the roadsides and on the flyovers gets washed away unnecessarily. To prevent this, recharge borewells are being built along the roads along with the Bhaskaracharya Institute. This will correct the water level around the roads. Along with this, the flyovers will also be connected to the rain water harvesting system so that every drop of rain falling on them can be conserved.”
Engineer training cum research center will be built with Rs 300 crore
Minister Rakesh Singh said that “At present there is no system for training engineers in the state. If we are not able to update them with their training, we will not be able to do justice to our work. Therefore, a state-of-the-art training center will be established in Madhya Pradesh for the training of government engineers. In this training center, engineers from Madhya Pradesh as well as other states will also be able to get training. In this, research will also be done on different techniques of road construction. This training cum research center will be established with about Rs 300 crores. Will happen.”
16 contractors blacklisted from Lokpath app, 60 engineers suspended
Minister Rakesh Singh said that “Lokpath App has been created to conduct surprise inspection of roads twice a month in Madhya Pradesh. Through this, on 5th and 20th of every month, our engineers arrive for visual inspection of the roads. The special thing in this is that through the app only the officials get information about their surprise inspection. If the pothole is not filled or the road is not repaired within 4 days of posting the complaint along with the photo on the Lokpath App, then the concerned engineer will be sent an auto.” Generated notice reaches. Till now 16 contractors have been blacklisted through this app and 60 engineers have been suspended.”
