Reva. There is a possibility of huge crowd of devotees gathering in the holy city of Sangam Prayagraj tomorrow on the occasion of Makar Sankranti for the second Amrit Snan. In view of the seriousness of the situation, the administration of Prayagraj as well as Rewa district adjacent to the Madhya Pradesh-Uttar Pradesh border is on full alert mode. Strict surveillance is being maintained on national highways, major roads and border areas. Additional police force has been deployed and the traffic system is being strictly monitored so that any kind of disorder can be dealt with in time.

There was a long jam on these routes during Maha Kumbh

It is noteworthy that during the Mahakumbh of the year 2025, there was a severe traffic jam on these routes, due to which the devotees had to face a lot of problems. Keeping this experience in mind, this time the administration already seems alert. Extensive preparations have been made for security, traffic and crowd management for the second Amrit Snan to be organized on Makar Sankranti in Sangam city Prayagraj.

Special surveillance is being kept on national highways

Along with Prayagraj, the administration of Rewa district bordering Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh is also on full alert. Recently, a large number of devotees have reached Prayagraj via Madhya Pradesh and taken a dip of faith. In such a situation, special monitoring is being maintained on the national highways and other major routes passing through Rewa district. The number of police forces has been increased and strict instructions have been issued to maintain smooth traffic. The administrative staff is fully prepared to deal with any emergency.

Devotees reach Prayagraj via National Highway 30.

It is through National Highway 30, Rewa-Prayagraj Road that devotees from South India including Nagaland, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and other states reach Prayagraj for bathing in the Ganga. The administration is trying to ensure that the devotees do not face any kind of problem. Keeping this in mind, a night shelter has been arranged for the devotees to stay at Chakghat in Tyonthar area on the MP-UP border. Along with this, special attention will also be given to the Sohagi mountain area, which is known as the valley of accidents, so that the devotees going for Amrit Snan in Prayagraj do not have to face any kind of inconvenience or accident.
