Raipur : Preparations for the state level youth festival have started in the state. Today, a meeting of officials of various departments regarding the preparations for the State Youth Mahotsav was held here at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Vikassheel. State Youth Festival is to be organized in Bilaspur from 23 to 25 December 2025. Competitions in various disciplines will be organized under the State Youth Festival at Bilaspur’s State Sports Complex, Bahtarai and Police Ground, Bilaspur. The winning participants and teams of district level youth festivals are participating in the state level youth festival. The winners of the State Level Youth Festival in the disciplines prescribed by the Government of India will represent the State in the National Youth Festival. The Chief Secretary has instructed various officials of the government to work in coordination and cooperation for organizing a large and grand youth festival. The Chief Secretary gave detailed instructions to Collector Bilaspur through video conferencing regarding necessary arrangements regarding organizing the State Youth Mahotsav.
About 4000 people including participants, judges, officers and employees from the districts will participate in the State Youth Mahotsav. In the state level youth festival, cultural activities with about 14 disciplines, singing by famous artists and stage programs like Kavi Sammelan band performances will be organised. Various disciplines include folk dance, Panthi dance, Raut dance, Sua dance, Karma dance, folk songs, debate, story writing, painting, poetry writing, innovation, traditional costumes, rock band etc. Youth in the age group of 15 to 29 years will participate in these competitions. Officials informed that along with the inauguration of the State Youth Festival on 23 December 2025, programs like launching ceremony and closing ceremony of Khelo India Tribal Games will be organized.
Stalls of schemes run by various departments for the youth of the state will be set up at the main venue of the State Level Youth Festival. In which stalls of schemes run for the youth by other departments including employment and registration, village industries, transport, panchayat, forest and social welfare will be set up. The Chief Secretary has given instructions for necessary cooperation and coordination with the departmental officers to make proper arrangements for organizing the Youth Festival. He has fixed the responsibilities of various departmental officers for conducting, monitoring and proper coordination of the event.
Apparel for the players participating in the opening and closing ceremonies and incentive amount for each participant will be provided by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Public Works Department and Collector Bilaspur. Protocol arrangements at accommodation and function venue will be made by District Administration Bilaspur, traffic and parking arrangements will be made by District Administration Bilaspur and Municipal Corporation Bilaspur. Welcome kit for the participants will be provided by the Sports Department. Health system, power system, CSPDCL, painting and repair work of departmental infrastructure in the main program will be done by the Public Works Department. The responsibilities of the departmental officers have been fixed for the accommodation arrangements, transportation arrangements, Collector Bilaspur, other similar arrangements for the players coming to participate in the event.
