Global confluence of yoga, research and women empowerment

Bhopal. The 6th International Yogini Conference and Award Program will be organized in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, on 14–15 March at Pt. Sunderlal Training Center for Vocational (NCERT), Shyamala Hills. Giving the above information, National President of Indian Yogini Federation, Dr. RH Lata said that in this two-day international conference, famous Yoginis will come not only from India but also from many countries including Singapore, Japan, Nepal, South Korea, America, Britain and France. These Yoginis will present their research papers related to yoga, health and lifestyle and will be honored with the International Yogini Award for their outstanding contribution. Dr. Lata said that the specialty of this year’s Yogini Conference is that it will not be limited to only academic and spiritual platform, but will also take a concrete initiative towards giving practical shape to women empowerment. For this purpose, along with the conference, a special expo related to employment related programs is also being organized. In this expo, rural entrepreneurial women from North East and hill states—Himachal Pradesh, Leh-Ladakh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura, Nagaland etc.—will set up stalls of their products. Besides, a glimpse of their innovations related to yoga, local culture, folk dance and traditional arts will also be presented through the exhibition. This platform will be a powerful effort to move rural women towards self-reliance and global recognition. Dr. Lata told that this grand event is being organized under the aegis of Bharatiya Yogini Sangh, in which many prestigious national and international organizations including Vyasa Singapore, Yoga Life Global, Arogya Bharti, Lotus Japan, Madhya Pradesh Yoga Teachers Association will participate.
