Raipur : Under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0 of the Central Government, Rs 146 crore will be spent in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh. Bhoramdev Corridor Project is being developed at a cost of Rs. Bhoomipujan is proposed in the last week of December 2025, which will be attended by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai along with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. This historic decision will put the state on the national and international tourism map by connecting its archaeological and religious sites.
New life to 1000 year old heritage
For the first time in the history of Bhoramdev temple, modern initiatives like water treatment are being taken. Under the project, there will be overall development of the main temple complex including the corridor up to Madwa Mahal, Chherki Mahal, Ramchua, Sarodha Dadar. On the lines of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, arrangements for 6 entry gates, park, museum, enhancement of perimeter walls, boundary wall decoration, drinking water from borewell, shed, electricity, drainage and plantation will be made. The historical pond will be beautified. Cleanliness, water quality improvement, green areas on the banks, seating areas and walking paths will be developed. A modern shed will be constructed for thousands of Kanwar pilgrims coming to Bhoramdev temple. There will be proper arrangements for drinking water, sanitation and rest in the sheds, so that the devotees can get safe and convenient stay.
Local economy will get strengthened
Upon completion of the Bhoramdev Corridor project, religious-cultural tourism will get a new impetus, employment will be created for local youth and regional economic activities will increase. It will strengthen the cultural identity of Chhattisgarh at the national level by connecting its ancient heritage with modern facilities.
