CM Yogi has adopted a strict stance after complaints in the solicitation process for accountant recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. In the meeting with the officials on Wednesday, the Chief Minister gave instructions to make the process fair and transparent, taking action on which the Revenue Council Commissioner has written a letter to the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).
In this regard, the Commissioner has given instructions to give revised information about the posts in order to requisition for the post of Accountant within a week. CM Yogi had warned the Chairman and the Revenue Council on receiving complaints in the requisition process and after checking the number of currently vacant 7994 accountant posts, he had given instructions to take immediate action as per the rules.
Case of recruitment to accountant posts in UP
CM Yogi had given instructions to make vertical and horizontal reservation on 7994 vacant posts. In which orders were given to implement vertical reservation of 27 percent Other Backward Classes, 21 percent Scheduled Castes and 2 percent Scheduled Tribes in letter and spirit.
CM Yogi had held a meeting on Wednesday night regarding the complaints of accountant recruitment requisition, in which he warned the Chairman of the Commission and the Revenue Council that tampering with the rules of the Constitution and the reservation roster will not be tolerated.
Instructions to implement reservation as per rules
He made it clear that the rules of the Constitution and the reservation roster should be ensured at all costs. The government is committed to giving every section its due in government jobs. Horizontal reservation for disabled, women and ex-servicemen should also be ensured. Not only this, vertical reservation of OBC, SC, ST should be implemented in letter and spirit.
What is the reservation dispute in accountant recruitment?
Recruitment notification for 7,994 posts of Revenue Accountant has been issued in UP on 16 December. But, controversies started arising regarding reservation figures and distribution. In this, OBC should have got 27% reservation under the Constitution, but in the notification only 1441 posts were given for OBC, which is only about 18% of the total posts.
After this matter came to light, allegations were made that the Other Backward Classes were not being given their full rights. In this matter, UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar had also written a letter to the CM on December 17. After which CM Yogi held a meeting with the officials and gave instructions to implement reservation as per the rules.
On December 18, SP President Akhilesh Yadav also raised this issue in the press conference and targeted the Yogi government. In this case, on December 19, the Revenue Council Commissioner wrote a letter to UPSSSC that a revised list of posts should be given in the order of requisition as per reservation.
