Ankita Bhandari Murder Case: Uttarakhand’s famous Ankita Bhandari Murder Case Has once again come to the center of political debate. On Tuesday, Congress held a press conference regarding this matter and made serious allegations against the BJP leadership. Citing the newly surfaced audio clip, the party has intensified the demand for reinvestigation of the entire case.
Congress says that the VVIP angle which was discussed from the beginning was deliberately suppressed. Party leaders raised the question whether the entire truth has been revealed in the investigation so far. It is noteworthy that three accused, including the son of a BJP leader, have been punished in the murder case that took place on December 18, 2022, but Congress claims that influential people were saved by keeping the investigation limited.
In the press conference, Congress mentioned the audio of the conversation between former BJP MLA from Jwalapur Suresh Rathore and his alleged second wife Urmila. Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dushyant Kumar Gautam has reportedly been named in this audio. It is alleged that on the night of Ankita’s murder, he was present in the same resort where the incident took place. Describing it as very serious, Congress said that if this claim is true, then the entire investigation process till now comes under question.
The Congress also alleged that the audio revealed immoral relations and alleged evidence which was not included in the investigation. The party has demanded from the state and central government that Ankita Bhandari Murder Case A re-investigation should be conducted by an independent agency. Congress made it clear that if the government remains silent, this issue will be raised from the streets to the Parliament.
