Bhopal: There is craze for cricket in every section, but a unique cricket tournament has started in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. In this, players came to the field to play cricket not in lower-t-shirt but in dhoti-kurta. The commentary is not being done in Hindi or English, but in Sanskrit. This Maharishi Metri Match Cricket Series-6 is being organized by Parshuram Kalyan Board to promote Sanskrit. In this, cricket teams of Sanskrit, Vedpathi and Karmakandi Brahmins have been fielded. The final match of cricket will be played on 9 January.

27 teams from across the state are taking part

In this unique cricket, players entered the field wearing dhoti-kurta and commentary was done in Sanskrit. The audience also enjoyed it a lot. of Parshuram Welfare Board President Pandit Vishnu Rajouria Said that “27 teams from across the state have entered the field in this unique tournament. Apart from ritualistic Brahmins, all the teams include Vedapathis and Sanskrit students. This is the sixth year of this unique cricket event. Its objective is to attract people towards Sanskrit language.

For this, cricket commentary is not being done in Hindi or English, but in Sanskrit. Like cricket is not called cricket but Kandukkrida. The ball is called kandukam and the bat is called bat.
