Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released the examination calendar for the upcoming year 2026. Only 10 major examinations have been potentially included in this calendar. While on one hand new examinations have been announced, on the other hand the candidates waiting for the Mains Examination of State Service Examination 2025 have still not received any fixed date.
State Service Examination will be held in April for this reason
The State Service and State Forest Service examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), which was earlier scheduled for March 2025, will now be held on 26 April 2026. The main reason for extending the date of examination is that the demand letters for vacant posts are not being sent to the Commission on time by various government departments.
As per the existing guidelines of the Finance Department, it is mandatory to fill the vacant posts in a phased manner instead of filling them all at once. Due to this process, the conduct of the examination has been proposed till April 2026, so that the departments can get approval for more posts from the Finance Department and these posts can be included in the advertisement of the preliminary examination in advance.
These exams will be held on this date
| Examination | probable date |
| Assistant Professor (Computer Science) | 4th January |
| Deputy Director Principal (Class-2) 22 February |

Interview calendar will not come
According to the information, the Commission has now started working like UPSC, under which now only the main calendar of examinations will be released. Now the Commission will not issue any separate calendar for interviews. A gap has been left between the dates in the examination calendar, so that if there is a demand for new recruitments from other departments, then those examinations can be conducted in between these vacant days.
The advantage of this new system will be that new recruitment examinations can be added easily. However, at present only those examinations have been given place in the calendar which are absolutely certain to take place. The remaining new examinations will be fitted in these free times as per the demand of the departments.
