Now the metro administration will soon start the facility of online ticket booking on the lines of Delhi-Mumbai. This means that you will be able to book metro tickets for your route while sitting at home. Officials associated with the matter say that trials have been started for this and this facility will be started soon. In this, six tickets can be booked in a day. In this, QR code will come for payment. As soon as this QR code is scanned at the station, the gates will open for entry. This type of facility is also available in Delhi-Mumbai Metro.
A WhatsApp number will be issued by the Metro administration to send the QR code. Officials say that the token system has to be replaced because now about 80 thousand tokens have been damaged or stolen. A lot of money is being spent in making these. Therefore, to avoid this, the metro administration is going to take this step. The trial is going on right now. It will be implemented soon. Six tickets can be booked from one mobile number in a day. QR code will come along with payment.
Preparations for Phase-2 intensified
It is noteworthy that preparations have intensified to take forward the Metro Phase-2 project in Jaipur. Recently, in the meeting between Jaipur Metro and the airport administration at Jaipur International Airport, it was also decided that underground metro stations will be built at all three terminals of the airport. Jaipur Metro Director Mahesh Bhuradia said that the proposed metro corridor from Sitapura to Todi Mod will pass through the airport area. This corridor will connect not only the airport but also industrial areas and residential areas. This will directly benefit the daily commuters as well as the air travelers and will reduce the traffic pressure in the city.
