Raipur: Raipur Municipal Corporation has intensified action against tax defaulters. The Revenue Department of Zone No. 8 took major action on Saturday and locked and sealed the business premises of 7 big defaulters. A total tax of Rs 71 lakh is outstanding on these institutions from the Municipal Corporation.

The biggest target of this action was Pushp Vatika Marriage Garden in Raipura. Satyendra Bisen and Indrajit Bisen, owners of this marriage garden located in Ward No. 70 (Sant Ravidas Ward), had not paid tax totaling ₹ 45,99,952 for many years. When the amount was not given despite the demand bill and final notice, the corporation team immediately sealed the garden.
