Bihar: Politics of Nitish Kumar has once again heated up these days. There are discussions in the state that NDA may remove Chief Minister Nitish Kumar from the post of CM and promote someone else. Amidst these speculations, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has claimed that the top leadership of BJP wants to remove Nitish Kumar from the post of Chief Minister, but Nitish Kumar himself is not ready to leave the chair.

RJD’s allegation: BJP wants to get rid of Nitish

Speaking to ABP News on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, RJD spokesperson Ejaz Ahmed said that BJP believes that Nitish Kumar is mentally unwell and has behaved inappropriately on public platforms several times. Ejaz Ahmed claims that it was already decided before the elections that Nitish Kumar would not be made the Chief Minister, but after the election results, he was forced to make him the CM. Now BJP wants to get rid of Nitish Kumar.

‘The seal will be on Nitish’s name only’

In such a situation, even if there is a change, only that person will become the Chief Minister on whom Nitish Kumar agrees. He indicated that some JDU leaders, who agree with the BJP’s ideology, may put forward Nishant Kumar. However, he called it an internal matter of JDU.

BJP’s counterattack: RJD mentally disturbed

BJP has strongly retaliated on RJD’s claims. BJP spokesperson Kuntal Krishna said that after the crushing defeat in the assembly elections, RJD leaders are mentally disturbed and are giving meaningless statements. He said that Lalu Prasad Yadav is unwell and Tejashwi Yadav does not seem active in politics. However, he also believed that if JDU and the public want, Nishant Kumar can play an active role in the future.

What next in Bihar politics?

Overall, the rhetoric regarding Bihar Politics Nitish Kumar has intensified. At present, there has been no indication of any official change from NDA and JDU, but discussions are hot in the political circles.
