Bhopal: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, a major success has been achieved in the direction of eliminating Naxalism. On Sunday, 10 Naxalites surrendered before Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in Balaghat, including 4 women Naxalites. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav connected him to the mainstream by providing him a copy of the Constitution. The surrendered Naxalites handed over their weapons to the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that as per the target set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the government is committed to making Madhya Pradesh Naxal-free by January 2026. He said that not a single person is allowed to carry weapons. The Chief Minister called upon the Naxalites to adopt the rehabilitation policy of the government. The government will make every possible effort to secure their lives, ensure development and connect them with the mainstream of society.
While encouraging the officers and soldiers, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the anti-Naxal campaign is being continuously strengthened and strengthened. 15 new temporary camps and 882 posts of special support squad have been approved in the state. Due to continuous monitoring, intensive investigation and actions, the Naxalite network has reduced rapidly in the state. He said that last year 46 single facility centers were opened in Naxal affected areas for rehabilitation. Employment, forest rights certificate and other essential services are being provided through these centres. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while paying tribute to the bravery of Martyr Ashish Sharma, said that out-of-turn promotions have been given to police officers including 328 Hawk Force who have worked with excellence in the line of duty. He said that the government is concerned about the rehabilitation of those who follow the path of law.
DGP Kailash Makwana said that the anti-Naxal campaign has been strengthened under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. New camps have been established, Hawk Force and police force have been increased. Besides, officers and soldiers are being given continuous encouragement. These actions have yielded positive results. Naxal dedication is continuously increasing in other states including Madhya Pradesh. He said that through employment and skill development efforts, significant progress has been made in connecting the youth and citizens of Naxal-affected areas with the mainstream. Madhya Pradesh Police is committed to liberate Naxalites within the stipulated time frame. Transport and School Education and Balaghat in-charge Minister Uday Pratap Singh, senior officers and jawans of the police department were present in the program.
