Raipur : Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade today gave new impetus to two road development works in Surajpur district. He inaugurated the 1.4 kilometer long road construction work from Kasalgiri to Shivsagarpur in village Shivsagarpur under Bhatgaon assembly by performing the bhoomi pujan. The government has given administrative approval of Rs 119 lakh for the construction of this road.

After this, Minister Rajwade started the construction work by offering prayers on the occasion of the commencement of widening and strengthening work of 5.80 km long road in village Maheshpur. This road goes from Silphili National Highway-43 to Latoree via Maheshpur. The government has given administrative approval of Rs 1269 lakh for this important project.
On this occasion, Minister Rajwade said that strong road network will ease transportation in rural areas and will encourage education, health services as well as business activities. He said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is giving top priority to the development of infrastructure in rural and remote areas.
Public representatives, district and local administration officials, Panchayat representatives and a large number of villagers were present in the program.
