Raipur : Strict monitoring and action for confiscation of paddy is being done by the joint team of Revenue Department, Food Department and Mandi on illegal storage and transportation of paddy. In this series, a total of 275 bags of illegal paddy were seized by the joint team on Friday in Tehsil Lavan and Bhatapara of Balodabazar district.
According to the information received, 160 sacks of paddy were seized from retail trader Kamal Sahu, 54 sacks from Hariram Sahu and 28 sacks from Hetram Sahu in village Ahilda under Tehsil Lavan for being found illegally. A total of 242 sacks of seized paddy were sealed and handed over to the village Kotwar.
Illegal paddy was investigated by a joint team in village Paunsari under Tehsil Bhatapara. Due to non-submission of any document regarding 33 sacks of paddy kept in Sanath Kirana, the illegal paddy was confiscated and handed over to the village Kotwar.
Mandi officials including SDM Balodabazar, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar were present during the proceedings.
