Indore: The Bhagirathpura incident, which has become a topic of discussion across the country, is now emerging as a medical mystery. According to administrative data, 6 people have died due to drinking contaminated water here. At the same time, local people and Congress leaders are claiming the death of many people. Death toll increased
On Sunday, November 4, another patient admitted to Bombay Hospital, Indore has died. His name is Omprakash Sharma (69) and he is a retired policeman. 2 days ago, 10 serious patients who were admitted to Bombay Hospital from different private hospitals after their condition deteriorated. One of them was Omprakash Sharma. His death is said to be due to kidney failure. He had come to meet his son, who lives in Bhagirathpura, who was admitted to the hospital on January 1 after vomiting and diarrhea. Due to kidney failure, he was put in ICU and then on ventilator, but he died at 1 pm on Sunday afternoon. Family members allege that contaminated water damaged his kidneys.
Many patients are fighting the battle of life
It is alleged that 7 patients are still fighting for their lives in the ICU in Bombay Hospital. Of which 4 are still on ventilator. A total of 398 patients have been admitted so far in 27 hospitals of the city, out of which 256 have been discharged. Treatment of the remaining 149 patients is still going on in different hospitals. He said that 14 patients are still in the ICU, out of which the condition of some people remains critical. 14 children are also admitted in Chacha Nehru Hospital.”
Post mortem of many dead people was done
Indore Health Department has not conducted post-mortem of anyone in most of the suspicious death cases., Due to which the cause of abnormal death has not been revealed yet, the post-mortem report of which has been conducted has also not been made public. The lives of patients who have reached the ventilator remain in danger. The state government and health staff are trying their best to save the lives of the patients. In the initial days of this case, there were speculations about the presence of poisonous chemicals in the water, but the district administration has denied this. According to the Collector, death analysis and medical death audit of all the deceased are being conducted, the report of which is yet to be received. He said that till now 6 patients admitted in various hospitals have died due to the deadly infection.
The government devoted all its resources
The state government has put in all its strength to overcome the crisis of Bhagirathpura. Along with state government minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, a team of hundreds of officials from the revenue department, health department, municipal corporation and women and child development are working on the ground.
