Raipur : Suresh Kumar Nag, a progressive farmer from village Kasauli (development block Dantewada) of Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh has been awarded the prestigious ‘Lord of Bhuiyan’ awarded by IBC 24. In the program organized on 06 February 2026, Deputy Chief Minister of the state Arun Sao honored him by presenting him a citation and honorarium. This achievement is a matter of pride for the farmers of Dantewada district.

Complete stoppage of use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in fields
Suresh Kumar Nag has been promoting organic and natural farming for a long time. Understanding the ill effects of chemical farming, he completely stopped the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in his fields and adopted organic remedies like Jeevamrit, Ghan-Jeevamrit and Neemastra and Brahmastra. After getting good results, he shared his experiences with other farmers, due to which many nearby farmers were also inspired towards natural farming.
Efforts being made to promote organic farming
Nag is also working on the conservation of more than 100 traditional paddy varieties. Along with this, by adopting innovations like cultivation of Ragi and Kosra, a new direction has been given to natural farming in the district. Farmers like Nag have made the efforts being made by the district administration and agriculture department to promote organic farming successful on the ground. Farmers, agricultural experts and officials have expressed happiness over his achievement.
Important task of environmental protection and soil fertility
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that farmers like Suresh Kumar Nag are a source of inspiration for the society, who along with farming are doing important work of environmental protection and soil fertility. After receiving the honour, Nag said that this award is dedicated to all those farmers who are trying to make the earth and the coming generations safe by adopting natural farming.
