Raipur : Farmer friendly policies of Chhattisgarh government are today becoming a strong foundation of prosperity and self-reliance in villages. The transparent system of purchasing paddy at support price has brought positive changes in the lives of farmers. One such inspiring story is of farmer Hansraj Sahu of village Bodra of Dhamtari district. Those who took advantage of government schemes not only strengthened their economic position but also adopted modern facilities.
Hansraj Sahu says that he sold paddy at support price in Sambalpur Cooperative Society in the last Kharif season. With the money received from the sale of paddy, he bought an e-scooty, which has today become a symbol of convenience, time saving and self-reliance for him. With the e-scooty running day and night, they are now getting the facility of easy transportation to Dhamtari city, fields, relatives’ houses and for daily work. This has not only reduced fuel expenses but also significantly saved time.
Sahu has a total of 2 acres 25 decimal agricultural land, in which he cultivates paddy with traditional experience and modern agricultural understanding. This year he has sold a total of 46 quintals and 40 kg of paddy at the support price. They are extremely satisfied with the timely payment and clear process. He told that this year he will use the money received from the sale of paddy in important family functions like his son’s marriage, which will create an atmosphere of happiness in the entire family.
Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Hansraj Sahu said that “Tuhar Token” mobile app has made the process of selling paddy extremely simple, transparent and farmer-friendly. Now farmers do not face any unnecessary trouble from registration to sale.
This success story of farmer Hansraj Sahu is a powerful proof that when the government’s visionary policies and digital innovations are effectively implemented on the ground, farmers become empowered and their standard of living continuously rises to higher heights. This story is also an inspiration for other farmers of the state to move forward on the path of prosperity by taking maximum benefits of government schemes.
