Raipur : Paddy procurement work is going on smoothly this year in Jewra-Sirsa procurement center of Durg district. Where till now 10 thousand quintals of paddy has been lifted. Farmers seem satisfied with the regular lifting of paddy of different categories. Paddy is being purchased from farmers at the rate of 21 quintals per acre at the Centre.
In the same sequence, today 53 year old farmer Bihari Ram Sahu of Sirsa Khurd village reached the center with his 125 bags of thick paddy. In the procurement center, the work of filling gunny bags, weighing, stitching and arranging the paddy in stacks according to quality was being done continuously by the committee employees. Meanwhile, the weighing process of Sahu’s paddy was going on and satisfaction and happiness were clearly visible on his face.
For Bihari Ram Sahu, today was not only the day of selling paddy, but also the day of getting closer to his dreams. This year he had cultivated paddy in two and a quarter acres. The special thing was that this time his entire family was able to connect with the online token system. He told that he himself is not comfortable in using the mobile, but his educated daughters received the first token from the mobile app. Now all the work is done online, see today I am standing with the token.
