New Delhi. The budget session of Parliament continues. The Prime Minister’s speech in the Lok Sabha on 4 February was cancelled. After this, on Thursday (05 February) evening, PM Modi replied to the discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha. Prime Minister Modi spoke for about 97 minutes in the Rajya Sabha. During this, opposition MPs in Rajya Sabha walked out during the speech. Now the reaction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech has come from Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.
While talking to the media outside the Parliament, Rahul Gandhi took a dig at PM Modi’s speech. He said to do whatever you think is right. Actually, this is the same word which former Army Chief Naravane had mentioned in his unpublished book.
Kharge surrounded PM Modi. In his statement he said, ‘Repeating false things has always been his (Prime Minister’s) job. The Prime Minister did not say anything new in his 97-minute speech and he did not give a single reply to the views we had put forward on the President’s address. He kept talking only about 100 years, 75 years. We found the book published by General Naravane (retd), but how did he not get it? How can the Defense Minister say that the book has not been published?
He further said that the Defense Minister kept defending it. Why did they get upset when opposition leader Rahul Gandhi raised the issue (2022 China issue)? Later, they just kept abusing me. They had no facts on the basis of which they could answer us. He also accused us of insulting Sikhs. We respect the Sikh community. Dr. Manmohan Singh, an eminent economist, was twice appointed Finance Minister and Prime Minister. You don’t respect anyone including Dalits. What has he done in the last 10 years apart from abusing the Congress?
