Jodhpur News:In front of Kohinoor, Fifth Road, Jodhpur, the auto driver set the rickshaw on fire in front of the same Bajaj showroom from where he had purchased the rickshaw with a new battery. The people present at the incident site extinguished the fire by sprinkling water. The owner of the auto driver who bought the e-rickshaw told that he had bought a rickshaw with new batteries of Bajaj Company, whose batteries were not being charged, about which he complained to the company. The company did not give any proper solution nor gave him a satisfactory answer, rather it said that if the vehicle is not being charged then burn it. Angered by this wrong attitude and absurd statement of the company, the person sprinkled petrol and set the e-rickshaw on fire.
E-rickshaw owner made this demand
In this regard, it has been told that the driver Mohan had tied the EV to a donkey 13 days ago on 14th December and took it to the company located on Fifth Road. The driver says that either the mileage of his car should be repaired. Or a new car should be given in exchange for this car.
The company said – the mileage of e-rickshaw is coming right.
The company operator says that the mileage of the e-rickshaw is good. Still, pressure for change is being created. Driver Mohan had bought this e-rickshaw 17 months ago for Rs 5 lakh. Then a down payment of Rs 70 thousand was given. Then 48 installments of Rs 10655 were fixed. 14 installments have been paid. Then the company had claimed that it would give a mileage of 180 once charged.
Man’s wife started crying after e-rickshaw caught fire
But his mileage kept coming till 174. After last 1 month its mileage reduced to 70 to 74 only. That means there was a direct difference of 96-100 km. Here, as soon as the e-rickshaw was set on fire, his wife who was accompanying him started crying bitterly.
