Raipur : When life starts with darkness, then every small support becomes a ray of light. One such inspiring story is that of Indrani Nishad, a resident of village Guhatola under Mohalla development block, who has been blind since childhood. Even at the age of 40, he has overcome the difficult paths of life on the strength of his courage, patience and self-confidence.
Indrani Nishad comes from an ordinary farming family with limited resources. His entire family does farming work. Being blind, there have been challenges at every step of his life, but he never let his weakness become his identity.
Blind stick assistive device was provided to Indrani by the Social Welfare Department at the district level camp village Mading Pindig organized under the Good Governance Week 2025. This equipment will prove to open a new path to self-reliance and respect in their lives. While receiving the blind stick, a glimpse of satisfaction was clearly visible in Indrani’s eyes and confidence on her face. Expressing his gratitude to the government and administration, he said that such camps bring positive changes in the lives of the needy.
Indrani’s mother also said emotionally that with this help, her daughter’s life will now become safer and more comfortable than before.
