Raipur : Due to the transparent, well-organized and farmer-friendly system implemented at the paddy procurement centers operating in all the districts of Chhattisgarh, farmers are getting great convenience in selling paddy. Token system, time bound procurement and payment at support price have created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and satisfaction among the farmers.

Paddy sale became easier with token system

Farmer Amir Hamza of Fatehpur Gram Panchayat under Ambikapur development block got the first token cut for the sale of 80 quintals of paddy at the paddy procurement center Sukhari. He said that the token process was very simple, easy and systematic and he did not face any kind of inconvenience. Hamza told that a total of 124 quintals of paddy is available with him, out of which the remaining paddy will be sold in the upcoming phase.

Big benefit to farmers from support price of Rs 3100 per quintal

Farmer Amir Hamza said that farmers are getting direct benefits due to the highest support price of Rs 3100 per quintal given by the government for paddy. Due to this, their income has increased significantly and their economic condition has become stronger than before.

Thresher machine purchased from paddy sale, new sources of income opened

Hamza told that he bought a thresher machine with the money received from the sale of paddy last year. Presently, along with threshing his own paddy, he is also earning additional income by renting out thresher machines. Due to this, new sources of income have developed for them and they are able to use modern agricultural tools.

Farmers’ confidence increased due to government system

Farmer Amir Hamza said that the confidence of farmers has increased due to the facilities provided by the government and better procurement system. Due to transparent system and timely payment, farmers are able to sell their produce without any stress. Appreciating the arrangements at the paddy procurement centres, he expressed his gratitude towards Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.

Farmer facilities given top priority in all procurement centers of the district

It is noteworthy that the convenience and interests of the farmers are being given top priority in all the paddy procurement centers of the district. Not only is this saving farmers time, they are also getting the opportunity to sell their produce in a respectable, safe and hassle-free environment.
