Indore. CM Mohan Yadav has taken big action in Indore contaminated water issue. Show cause notice has been issued to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Additional Commissioner. The charge of water distribution work has been withdrawn from the Superintendent Engineer in Charge.

CM Mohan Yadav posted on social media Also discussed was the report presented by the Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Administration and Development). He further wrote that instructions were given to Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Additional Commissioner to issue show cause notice in this regard, to immediately remove the Additional Commissioner from Indore and to take back the charge of Water Distribution Department from the Superintendent Engineer in Charge. Instructions were also given to fill the necessary posts in Indore Municipal Corporation with immediate effect.
Officers removed earlier also
Even before this, action has been taken against three officers on the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. On Tuesday (December 30), the CM had given instructions to suspend zonal officer zone number 4, assistant engineer and assistant engineer in-charge PHE with immediate effect and to separate the sub-engineer in-charge PHE from service with immediate effect.
High Court reprimanded
The case of contaminated water in Indore was heard on Friday (January 2) in the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court. The High Court has adopted a tough stance. Justice Dwarkadhish Bansal and Justice Rajendra Kumar Vani, while hearing the case, considered it to be serious negligence. The court said that people are dying because of water, which is completely wrong. The court directed the officials to provide drinking water to the people.
