After this, CM and Union Minister Subhash will flag off the metro at the metro station and will also take a ride in the metro. Both will address the press after reaching AIIMS. Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will also be present on this occasion.

Metro will reduce traffic pressure

Bhopal Metro 30.8 km long project will make commuting in the urban area of ​​Bhopal easier, faster and environment friendly. The project has two corridor lines and one depot. The Orange Line of Bhopal Metro is 16.74 kilometers and the Blue Line is 14.16 kilometers. Orange Line will be inaugurated

The first phase of Bhopal Metro, Orange Line ‘Priority Corridor’ is being inaugurated. This stretch of approximately 7 kilometers includes 8 elevated stations. These stations are AIIMS, Alkapuri, DRM Office, Rani Kamalapati Station, MP Nagar, Board Office Square, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Subhash Nagar. This corridor will provide smooth traffic on the busy routes of the city and will help in reducing pollution. This metro corridor will make the travel of citizens simple and easy.

The cost of Priority Corridor is more than Rs 2 thousand crores.

The estimated cost of Bhopal Metro is Rs 10 thousand 33 crore. In this, the cost of Priority Corridor is Rs 2 thousand 225 crore. The length of the Priority Corridor is 7 kilometers and it is estimated that 3 thousand people will travel in this corridor every day.
