Mumbai Ramdas Athawale’s party Republican Party of India has sought its share in the Mahayuti alliance in the elections being held in 29 Municipal Corporations in Maharashtra. Athawale’s party has demanded 25 seats in Mumbai. There is a demand for 7 to 10 seats in other municipal corporations. The party said that they should be given a respectable share in the alliance.

The party’s national president Ramdas Athawale is serving as a minister at the Centre. That is why they should participate in the elections in a respectable manner. At the Municipal Corporation level, Republican Party of India officials are meeting Bharatiya Janata Party officials and demanding from them to give them a respectable share. The Republican Party of India is demanding 7 to 10 seats in each metropolitan municipality, whereas in Mumbai the Republican Party of India has sent a demand for 25 seats.
