Raipur : Under the guidance of Sonamani Bora, Principal Secretary, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, departmental officers and superintendents are being trained in two phases for the year 2026 under Project Sankalp. So that through this program, ‘Project Sankalp’ can be effectively implemented in all the ashrams and hostels of the state. The objective of this initiative is to institutionalize the work culture of ‘Learn-Teach, Spread Anjor’ and to prepare students to successfully face the challenges of life.
Principal Secretary Bora has said that hostels are not just centers of residential facilities but are powerful platforms for personality building and leadership development. He said that the training program should be taken seriously so that self-confidence, discipline and positive thinking can develop in the students. The training program will be conducted in two phases
In the first phase, 2.5 days residential training will be organized for Assistant Commissioners of 21 tribal dominated districts. In this training, the outline of the “Jeevan ke Rang, Khushiyon ke Sang” program will be discussed in detail and a strategy for implementation in the districts will be prepared. After the training, all the districts will submit action plans for their respective hostels to the department.
In the second phase, an 8-day virtual training program will be organized for hostel and ashram superintendents. In this, concepts from ‘Success Mantra 1 to 9’ will be shared in 3 hour sessions daily for 6 days. In the intervening two days, the superintendent will try to apply what he has learned in his life and with his students. The superintendents thus prepared will share the learning of the training with the students, colleagues and wherever possible also with the parents in the hostels, so that a positive and energetic environment can be created.
Principal Secretary Bora said that through ‘Project Sankalp-2026’, concrete steps are being taken towards making students self-reliant, disciplined and successful citizens by establishing a new work culture in the hostels and ashrams of the state. Through this initiative, along with education, students are also being empowered with moral, social and life skills for their all-round development. The students living in the ashram-hostel are being provided a safe environment, quality food, regular academic support and opportunities for sports and cultural activities.
It is noteworthy that under the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and the guidance of departmental minister Ramvichar Netam, this innovative initiative has been taken with the aim of giving a new flight to the future of hostel children.
