Bhopal : Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that all-round development of Madhya Pradesh is the only goal of the government. Participation of every citizen is being ensured in building self-reliant and developed Madhya Pradesh. He said that by taking everyone along and trusting us, we will build such a new Madhya Pradesh, where development is not just an opportunity, but a right of every citizen here. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration and bhoomi pujan program of development works in Burhanpur on Saturday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave new impetus to the overall development of Burhanpur district by performing Bhoomi Pujan and inaugurating 80 development works costing Rs 696 crore 37 lakh with a single click. He said that the works received today will play a big role in making the district modern, developed and self-reliant. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav worshiped Narmadeshwar Akhand Shivling in Burhanpur.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government is working with full commitment to make Madhya Pradesh a leader in every field. The government is continuously accelerating the pace of development of the state by giving priority to infrastructure and public welfare works. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the development of Burhanpur is our priority. We have resolved to make this district developed and prosperous, we will achieve this with the participation of the people of the district, the coming time will bear witness to this.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp at Nehru Stadium in Burhanpur. The Chief Minister inaugurated the development exhibition based on the achievements of 2 years and future development plans of agriculture, horticulture and other departments and also visited various stalls.

Major announcements of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced to build a mini airport in Burhanpur. He announced to set up a unit for value addition, storage and processing in the interest of banana producing farmers in Burhanpur and to organize an agriculture-based regional industry conclave in Burhanpur. The Chief Minister said that at present Municipal Council Shahpur will be given the status of Municipality after examination. Kirtan center of Warkari community will be built in Burhanpur. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that horticulture subject will now be taught in all the colleges of the state. He also announced the construction of a road from Khamni to Dahi Handi, from Khamni to Raigaon and from Shahpur to Sukhpuri. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that skill based training will be started for the youth in Burhanpur. The state government will clear the dues of Burhanpur Cooperative Yarn Mill workers and will also establish new industries here.

Burhanpur is the ‘city of weavers’

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today itself we are transferring the 33rd installment of Ladli Brahmin Yojana to the accounts of more than 1.25 crore sisters of the state. He said that from agriculture to textile manufacturing, from medicine to furniture industry, from pipe manufacturing to agricultural equipment manufacturing, Burhanpur has no answer. This district is a major center of power loom industry and is famous as Burhanpur as ‘City of Weavers’ due to textile production. He said that due to the increasing demand of textile industry, cotton cultivation is also done here on a large scale. This farming not only increases the income of the farmers but also strengthens the industries. The banana production, crop diversity and hardworking farmers here are the real strength of our Farmer Welfare Year. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that processing, storage and export facilities for major products like banana and cotton will be further expanded.

The land of Burhanpur will flourish with Tapti ground water mega recharge project.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the entire region of Malwa-Nimar is happy with the blessings of Mother Tapti and Narmada Maiya. A series of construction of dams like Sardar Sarovar has started in the state. Our farmers are becoming self-reliant in the energy sector. Farmers of Madhya Pradesh are benefiting from the river linking campaign. Irrigation facilities are continuously expanding in the state. After the completion of Tapti Ground Water Mega Recharge Project, the land of Burhanpur will flourish even more. He said that the country’s first “PM Mitra Park” is being constructed in Dhar, which will benefit the cotton producing farmers. Cotton and banana crop based processing industries will be set up in Burhanpur. He said that the state government is making every possible effort for the bright future of the sons and daughters of the state. He called upon the people of the state to encourage mass marriages. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav told that he himself married his son in a mass wedding ceremony.

Water Resources and Burhanpur district in-charge Minister Tulsiram Silawat said that for the overall development of the state and to fulfill the resolve of developed India, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has declared the year 2026 as the Farmer Welfare Year. Its gifts are starting from Burhanpur. Here, a big irrigation project worth Rs 922.51 crore will provide irrigation facility to 17700 hectares. 22 thousand farmer families will get the benefit of irrigation facilities built at a cost of more than Rs 1673 crore in Navatha Irrigation Project. With the efforts of the last 2 years, irrigation facilities will increase in total area of ​​85133 hectares in Burhanpur.

Khandwa MP Dnyaneshwar Patil said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is such a Chief Minister who believes in working on the ground. Do not just announce development works, but implement them on the ground. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is leaving no stone unturned in the development of Burhanpur. 15 thousand beneficiaries have got Prime Minister’s residence in Burhanpur. All the eligible beneficiaries of the district are getting tap water, free ration and housing facilities.

MLA Burhanpur and former minister Archana Chitnis said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Burhanpur is moving on the path of development in every field. Burhanpur is such a place, where 6 out of 12 Jyotirlingas are established within a radius of 335 kilometers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has approved an irrigation project worth Rs 1673 crore in the cabinet for the overall development of Burhanpur district. Burhanpur is getting the gift of Tapti Ground Water Mega Recharge Project. Under Amrit 2.0 scheme, bhoomi pujan was also done for the management works of 19 drains to clean Tapti river. He said that there is mention of Lord Shri Ram coming to Burhanpur during the Ramayana period, hence Shahpur of Burhanpur should be included in Shri Ramchandra Gaman Path. He said that Burhanpur is the Brahmapur of ancient times, hence Burhanpur should be named Brahmapur.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav greeted the citizens by conducting a road show from Jijamata Square to Nehru Stadium.
