जयपुर|राजस्थान के बाड़मेर जिले से एक बार फिर चौंकाने वाला मामला सामने आया है। पचपदरा निवासी 68 वर्षीय बरकत खान उर्फ बाबू को पुलिस ने एक बार फिर गिरफ्तार किया है। खास बात यह है कि बरकत खान के खिलाफ यह 50वां आपराधिक मामला है। उसके खिलाफ पहला केस साल 1984 में दर्ज हुआ था। लंबे आपराधिक इतिहास के बाद अब वह एक बार फिर जेल जाने की तैयारी में है। आखिर अब बरकत ने कौन सा कांड किया कि उसे जेल भेजा जा रहा है?
Theft in temple twice in one month
Ashapura Mataji Temple is situated in Sointra village near Shergarh. Theft has happened here twice within the last one month. In the latest incident, the thief had escaped with about Rs 25,000 in cash, microphone set, LED TV and a silver umbrella from the temple safe. Due to continuous incidents of theft, an atmosphere of panic was created in the village. The villagers were forced to stay awake all night and keep guard.
Barkat Khan had committed theft in the temple
Seeing the increasing tension in the village, the police intensified night patrolling. Meanwhile, the police caught a person roaming suspiciously around the temple premises. During interrogation he was identified as Barkat Khan alias Babu. According to NDTV report, some stolen goods were also recovered from him during the search. After this the police arrested him.
Has served more than 10 years in jail
According to the station in-charge, the accused is a habitual criminal. He has spent more than 10 years in jail. Recently he had escaped from Ajmer jail and was on the run since then. Police hope that this arrest can provide important information about his other associates and old cases also.
Police alert, increased surveillance
After the incident, police have increased patrolling and surveillance in the area. Special vigil is being kept on suspicious people, so that such incidents can be prevented in future.
