Raipur : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the work of purchasing paddy from the registered farmers of the state at the support price declared by the Central Government in the Kharif marketing year 2025-26 is going on continuously in the state government of Chhattisgarh. Agriculture Department officials said that paddy is being procured easily through 2739 procurement centers operating in the state. The period for procurement of paddy has been fixed from November 15, 2025 to January 31, 2026.
Officials have been directed to easily purchase paddy from the farmers of the state, while strict monitoring is being maintained on illegal paddy transportation.
Registration of 7.5 percent farmers and 19 percent more area.
Appropriate arrangements have been made to purchase paddy from farmers in the state. In the Kharif marketing year 2025-26, farmer registration can be done through Integrated Farmer Portal and Agristech Portal. At present, paddy area of 34.39 lakh hectares of 27.40 lakh farmers has been registered for the purchase of paddy. Whereas last year, paddy was sold at support price by 25.49 lakh farmers from an area of 28.76 lakh hectares. Thus, compared to the number of farmers sold last year, this year the registration of about 7.5 percent farmers and 19 percent more area has increased.
Exemption from Agristech registration
Institutional registration, landless farmers (Adhiya/Regha), farmers of Dooban area, farmers holding forest rights leases, farmers of village Kotwar (government lessee) category have been exempted from Agristech registration. The work of farmer registration is currently going on.
Facility to get token 24 hours “Token system simplified
Chief Minister Sai said that keeping in mind the interests of farmers, our government has now provided the facility of obtaining tokens 24 hours a day in the “Tuhar Token” app in the Kharif marketing year 2025-26. At present, 17.24 lakh tokens have been issued for purchasing 87 lakh tonnes of paddy. Farmers can get tokens for the next 20 days.
Instant payment of Rs 7 thousand 771 crore to farmers
Officials said that as of December 11, 2025, an amount of Rs 7 thousand 771 crore has been paid to the farmers in lieu of paddy purchase under support price.
Control over illegal paddy sale/transportation
Special checking teams have been formed in the districts by constituting officers from the departments of Revenue, Food, Cooperative, Forest, Market etc.
State Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) has been established under Markfed at the state level. Till now, more than 2000 cases of illegal paddy transportation/storage have been registered in the state, in which 1.93 lakh tonnes of illegal paddy has been seized so far.
