Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Education extends beyond textbooks—it involves nurturing confidence, creativity, good health, and equal opportunities for every child. Guided by this philosophy, Smiley Children Society has been implementing a range of community-focused initiatives that support the overall development of children across Andhra Pradesh.
Founded on January 19, 2019, by Prudhvi Moses, the organization has consistently worked to improve educational access for children from economically weaker sections of society. With its Head Office in Mandapeta and branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District), Smiley Children Society has established itself as a dedicated social organization committed to educational empowerment.
Among its key initiatives is assisting underprivileged children with admission to government schools. Volunteers identify children who are not attending school, interact with parents, explain the benefits of education, and provide assistance throughout the enrollment process. By working closely with schools and local communities, the organization helps ensure that children receive an opportunity to begin their formal education without unnecessary challenges.
The initiative has earned appreciation from Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who recognized the efforts of the organization’s volunteers and commended Founder Prudhvi Moses for promoting educational awareness among rural families.
In addition to enrollment drives, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes at its Angara branch. The program provides academic support for students who need extra guidance after school, helping them strengthen their understanding of subjects, complete assignments, and prepare for examinations.
Understanding that nutrition is essential for effective learning, the organization also provides free dinner to children attending the tuition sessions. This initiative not only encourages regular attendance but also offers meaningful support to families facing financial challenges.
“Every child deserves the chance to study with confidence and dignity,” said Founder Prudhvi Moses. “When education is combined with proper care, encouragement, and community support, children are better prepared to achieve their dreams and contribute positively to society.”
Prudhvi Moses has also been a strong advocate for improving the quality of early childhood education. During educational events at schools, including ZPHS Angara, he has encouraged teachers and Anganwadi workers to adopt creative, activity-based teaching methods that inspire curiosity and active participation among young learners.
To further this mission, Smiley Children Society regularly donates educational materials, classroom equipment, and learning aids to schools that promote innovative teaching practices. The organization believes that providing teachers with better resources ultimately benefits every child in the classroom.
As Smiley Children Society continues to expand its educational and social initiatives, it remains committed to building a future where every child—regardless of financial background—has access to quality education, nutritious support, and opportunities for holistic development. Through volunteerism, collaboration, and sustained community engagement, the organization continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of children across Andhra Pradesh.
