Bhopal : Police Transport Research Institute (PTRI) is continuously conducting road safety management courses with the aim of reducing the number of vehicle accidents and deaths due to road accidents in Madhya Pradesh.
On the instructions of Additional Director General of Police Vivek Sharma, a two-day training session was organized in PTRI for officers from Additional Superintendent of Police to Sub Inspector level through Road Safety Management Course. The objective of the training is to provide a safe road network to road users, give priority to pedestrians, cyclists and motorists and reduce the number of road accidents and deaths in future.
At the inauguration of the training session, Deputy Inspector General of Police PTRI T.K. The student placed before the trainees the horrors of road accidents. He said that road safety has to be recognized as an integral part of basic transport service. Keeping traffic enforcement in view, he laid emphasis on e-enforcement. Also, a request was made to increase the utility of interceptor vehicles for prevention of over speeding. Presently, the trainees were made aware of the Government of India schemes Rahveer and the concept of Golden Hour along with hairless treatment. During this, PTRI’s Assistant Inspector General of Police Abhijeet Kumar Ranjan, Rajesh Mishra, Deputy Commissioner Manoj Khatri and officers of the training team were present.
At the conclusion of the course, the trainees were given a certificate by PTRI on successful completion of the training.
