Bhopal: Pachmarhi of Madhya Pradesh will not be compared with Shimla or any other hill station, rather Pachmarhi will be compared to other hill stations of the country. In fact, Pachmarhi, the famous hill station of Madhya Pradesh, has received the award at the international level, beating all the hill stations across the country. The state’s famous hill station Pachmarhi has been awarded the prestigious Green Destinations Bronze Certificate at the ITB Berlin Travel Mart in Berlin, Germany.
Number of foreign guests will increase in Pachmarhi
This honor has been given by the Green Destinations Foundation of the Netherlands, an organization recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. After which Pachmarhi has become the first hill station in the country to achieve international glory. Ujjain Commissioner Ashish Singh has received this honor on behalf of Madhya Pradesh.
Tourism department is continuously reaching new heights
of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi Expressing happiness over this honour, he said, “The tourism department of Madhya Pradesh is continuously reaching new heights. Pachmarhi getting this honor shows that the state is doing better work towards environmental protection and preserving local culture along with tourism development. With this achievement, Pachmarhi will be established as a sustainable tourism destination at the global level and this will increase the number of international tourists.”
A rigorous evaluation process has been put in place by the Foundation for the Green Destinations Bronze Certificate. In this, hill stations across the country were evaluated on the basis of many parameters. It was seen what kind of management the destination is. Apart from this, 75 parameters were set on 6 major subjects like natural and landscape, environment and climate, culture and tradition, social welfare and business communication. On the basis of these parameters all the hill stations across the country were evaluated. In this, Pachmarhi achieved a score of 6.5 out of 10.
