Raipur : Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam in his address said that the government is committed to the overall development of special backward tribes. He said that special attention is being given to education, health, employment and basic facilities for the upliftment of special backward tribes like Pando community. Today a special backward tribes conference was organized in Gram Panchayat Mahadevpur of Ramchandrapur development block of Balrampur district. Laid the foundation stone of two major works to be built at a total cost of Rs 50 lakh in Gram Panchayat Mahadevpur. These include construction of a culvert at a cost of Rs 25 lakh and construction of a community hall for the Pando community at a cost of Rs 25 lakh. Former District Panchayat President Pushpa Netam and other public representatives participated in this conference.
Agriculture Minister Netam said that the construction of the culvert will provide better transportation facilities to the villagers of the area. Besides this, local economic activities will also get a boost. Similarly, the community hall of Pando Samaj, to be built at a cost of Rs 25 lakh, will become a center for social, educational and cultural activities. Where society meetings, social events and other programs can be held. During this, he also announced Rs 5 lakh for leveling the community hall. He said that the proposal to construct a road from Vishunpura to Baikunthpur has been included in the budget, which will significantly improve the connectivity of the area. Movement of villagers will become easier and new opportunities for business and employment will also increase. He told that Pando hostels in Dindo, Ramchandrapur and Ramanujganj are also included in the budget. With the construction of hostels, students from remote villages will get a better educational environment and they will be able to continue their studies uninterrupted. He has informed that Community Health Center in Ramchandrapur is also included in the budget.
Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam said that our primary goal is to deliver the benefits of various schemes of the government to the last person. He said that efforts are being made to connect the youth of the society with skill development, self-employment and agriculture-based activities. He called upon the youth of Pando community to become self-reliant by taking advantage of government schemes and play an active role in the development of the society. Minister Netam said that availability of health services is a primary need in rural areas. Building a community health center will benefit many nearby villages and will ensure timely treatment in emergency situations.
Minister Ramvichar Netam shared happiness by cutting a cake with the people of Pando community on the occasion of his birthday. All sections of the society including children, youth, elders and women wished him well. Minister Netam said that it is a privilege for him to celebrate his birthday among the society. And the love and blessings of the public are his biggest asset. He said that he will always remain dedicated to the development of the area and service to the society. Around 03 thousand people of Pando community participated, in which Pando community officials and common citizens from various surrounding districts along with the district were present in large numbers. On the arrival of Minister Netam, Pando community officials and villagers gave a grand welcome with traditional customs. During this, Minister Netam laid the foundation stone of various development works. During this, he also distributed materials under various beneficiary oriented schemes.
Common people benefited from departmental stalls
Stalls were also set up by various departments at the conference venue. Where villagers were directly benefited through Aadhar Enrolment, Ayushman Card, Health Checkup Camp, Veterinary Services, Agricultural Consultancy, Social Welfare Schemes and stalls of other departments. A large number of villagers got their health checkup done in the health camp. During this, information about departmental schemes was also given. On this occasion, senior members of the society also expressed their views.
