Bhopal. Budget provision of Rs 4.38317 crore for the financial year 2026–27 in Madhya Pradesh. The budget for the financial year 2026-27 is based on GYANII. The budget for 2025-26 was GYAN based. – The budget includes realizing the concept of Garib Kalyan Antyodaya, Yuva Shakti – development of skills and employment-oriented training among the youth, Annadata – increase in the income of Annadata, Nari Shakti – empowered women, Infrastructure – development of basic facilities, and Industry – encouragement of industrial investment in the state.
– Budget 2026-27 focuses on 5 pillars (three-year rolling budget, farmer welfare year 2026, multidimensional poverty index, capital expenditure and new schemes).
– Three-year rolling budget – By adopting rolling budget, the annual budget has been linked with a long-term vision.
– Farmer Welfare Year 2026 Prosperous Farmers, Strong State: A provision of ₹ 1,15,013 crore (including other financial resources) has been made in view of the agriculture-based economy.
– Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Budgeting ‘Towards Prosperity’ MPI based budgeting system is an innovative and visionary initiative of the State. This approach is an important step beyond traditional welfare schemes towards outcome-based financial management.
– Capital Expenditure – For the first time in the history of the state, capital investment of more than ₹1 lakh crore will be made in expansion of roads, bridges, energy, irrigation and urban amenities.
– New Schemes – Several new initiatives/schemes are being launched in the Budget, which are focused towards better nutrition, housing, quality of life and infrastructure development.
Provision for farmers in the budget
– The year 2026 is being celebrated as Farmer Welfare Year. The agriculture budget focuses on farmers’ income growth, production efficiency and security.
– Provision of ₹ 28,158 crore for increasing production and productivity. Investment of ₹64,995 crore to strengthen the exchange system.
– Provision of ₹ 8,091 crore to provide better prices for the produce.
– A provision of Rs 13,769 crore has been made for the security cycle.
– A total provision of Rs 1,15,013 crore for agriculture in the budget.
Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI)
– The MPI based budget system of the state is an innovative and visionary initiative. It includes not only income but also education, health, nutrition, housing, sanitation and access to essential services.
infrastructure development
– Capital outlay with extra budget resources (EBR) for infrastructure development will be Rs 1,06,156 crore. This will strengthen employment generation, industrial progress and rural-urban balance.
In the budget, under the Pradhan Mantri Krishak Surya Mitra Yojana, the target is to provide 1 lakh solar irrigation pumps to the farmers at a cost of Rs 3 thousand crores.
Sakhi-Niwas is under construction in Ujjain, Dhar, Raisen, Bhind, Singrauli, Dewas, Narmadapuram and Jhabua districts for residential facilities for working women.
– The work of 02 national irrigation projects Ken-Betwa Link and Parvati-Kali Sindh is in progress with a total estimated cost of Rs 79 thousand 605 crore.
– Approval of 30 thousand 900 km Gadak factory under Chief Minister Majra-Tela Sahak Rojna. Provision of Rs 800 crore for the financial year 2026-27.
– Works worth Rs 13 thousand 851 crores related to Simhastha Mahaparva approved. There is a provision of Rs 3 thousand 60 crore for the year 2026-27.
– In the budget 2026-27, there is a provision of Rs 24 thousand 144 crore on health, Rs 31 thousand 953 crore on education and Rs 49 thousand 365 crore on standard of living.
– No new tax has been imposed in the Madhya Pradesh budget nor has there been any increase in the existing tax rates.
– Under the Paten-Byrama micro pressure irrigation project in Bundelkhand and Baghelkhand regions, 1 lakh 35 thousand hectares of land will be irrigated from the Paten project and 1 lakh 15 thousand hectares from the Byrama project.
– Construction of elevated corridor in Ujjain is targeted at a cost of Rs 1000 crore.
– Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor Project is being developed at a cost of Rs 2,360 crore with the aim of accelerating industry and investment.
