Bhopal : An important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Davos on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav between Madhya Pradesh and DP World, a leading company in the global logistics and supply chain sector based in United Arab Emirates (Dubai). On behalf of Madhya Pradesh Government, Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi and on behalf of DP World, Chief Executive Officer and Finance and Business Development Officer Anil Mohta signed the MoU. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Group Chairman of DP World, was present on the occasion. Through this MoU, issues related to industrial development and investment cooperation were agreed upon, which has the potential to give a new direction to logistics, infrastructure and business activities in the state.
In the MOU, DP World agreed to pursue the possibilities of investment and cooperation in Madhya Pradesh. This initiative is considered important in connecting the state to the national and global supply chain network. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave detailed information regarding the industrial policies of the state and the favorable environment and infrastructure for investment.
Senior officials of both the parties were present during the MoU and MoU documents were formally exchanged. This MoU will be an important step towards developing Madhya Pradesh as a strong center in the field of logistics and trade.
