Patna . The controversy over Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar removing hijab from the face of a female Ayush doctor is not stopping. Now Maulana Mufti Muhammad Saeedur Rahman Qasmi, Secretary of Ibadan-e-Sharia of Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand, has also given his reaction on this. Maulana appeared angry on this issue. Rehman Qasmi said that while giving the appointment letter, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar removed the hijab of a woman. We condemn this in the strongest terms. They should not do this at all.

This is because purdah is the respect of women and society. Because of purdah, women’s honor is protected. The Chief Minister who himself respects women and gives them respect should not do this. This removal of hijab from women is an insult and disrespect to women. We condemn it. He has insulted women, so he should apologize.

Let us tell you that recently, a newly appointed AYUSH doctor in Bihar became uncomfortable when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar removed the hijab (veil) from her face while giving her the appointment letter. A video clip of the incident was circulated on social media. This incident took place during a program organized at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat ‘Samvad’, where appointment letters were being distributed to more than one thousand AYUSH doctors. However, Live Hindustan does not confirm this video.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the doctors appointed include 685 Ayurveda, 393 Homeopathy and 205 Unani practitioners. Of these, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself handed over appointment letters to 10 candidates from the stage, while the remaining were given letters through online medium.

When it was the turn of Nusrat Parveen, who was wearing a hijab, the 75-year-old Chief Minister expressed his displeasure and said, ā€œWhat is this?ā€ After this, the Chief Minister removed the hijab from her face. After this, the nervous newly appointed doctor was immediately taken aside by an officer present there. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, standing next to the Chief Minister, was seen pulling his sleeve in an attempt to stop him.

RJD had targeted
Meanwhile, opposition parties including Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress had shared this video on their social media accounts, claiming that this incident is the latest example of the ā€œunstable mental conditionā€ of the Janata Dal United (JDU) chief.

RJD wrote on ‘X’, “What has happened to Nitish ji?” The party said, ā€œThe mental condition has now reached a pathetic state or has Nitish Babu now become a 100 percent Sanghi?ā€
