Raipur : The technology-based digital paddy procurement system implemented by the Chhattisgarh government in the Kharif marketing year 2025-26 is now not just a government scheme but is becoming a strong basis of trust for the farmers. A living example of its effectiveness and transparency has come from the experience of farmer Hiralal, resident of village Duggi. Farmer Hiralal successfully sold a total of 51.20 quintals of paddy at Singhat Procurement Centre. The entire process under support price was simple, well organized and transparent, due to which they did not have to face any kind of inconvenience. Their token for paddy sale was issued through offline mode, despite this all the arrangements in the procurement center operated smoothly. This shows that the digital system has ensured an effective alternative system even for those farmers who are not fully familiar with the online processes.

Necessary facilities including proper seating arrangements, drinking water were available for the farmers in the procurement centre. Accurate weighing with digital weighing, streamlined management and crowd-free environment made the entire process reliable and farmer friendly. Sharing his experience, farmer Hiralal said that compared to previous years, this time the paddy selling process was more smooth and stress-free. The new technology-based system has strengthened the confidence of farmers and made the sale of paddy more simple. Overall, the digital paddy procurement system of Chhattisgarh government is emerging as a strong step towards transparency, good governance and farmer welfare, which is becoming a medium of positive change in the lives of farmers.
