Chhattisgarh gets historic success in India Skill 2025-26

Raipur : In the India Skill Competition 2025-26 organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of the Government of India with the aim of providing a national platform to the talent, technical proficiency and innovation potential of the youth, the youth of Chhattisgarh state have achieved remarkable achievement by earning 12 medals and 04 Medals of Excellence in the East Zone Regional Competition. This competition is being organized in four phases at district, state, regional and national level respectively. The participants selected at the national level will get the opportunity to represent India under the World Skills International.

Chhattisgarh participants won 12 medals in East Zone competition

Congratulating the youth of the state, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the youth of Chhattisgarh have proved that they are capable of competing not only at the national but also at the global level. The state government is promoting modern training, innovation and industry-oriented courses while giving priority to skill development. This success is an important step towards realizing the resolve of a strong, young, prosperous Chhattisgarh.

Participants from Chhattisgarh won 12 medals in the East Zone competition. The East Zone regional competition concluded on 02 March 2026 in Bhubaneswar, in which more than 200 participants from Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Andaman-Nicobar Islands participated in 59 skill categories. The participants from Chhattisgarh performed excellently and earned a total of 12 medals and 04 medals of excellence, which include 01 gold, 02 silver, 05 bronze medals and 04 medals of excellence.

Sunil Kumar Paital made the state proud by winning gold medal in Digital Interactive Media, Khushank Nayak in 3D Digital Game Art, Pushkar Sonbar in CNC Milling and Atmaram in CNC Turning made the state proud by winning silver medal. Similarly, Nikhil in CNC Milling, Abhishek Kumar in Electronics, Reshman in Plumbing and Heating and Satendra Kumar in Web Technology brought pride to Chhattisgarh by winning bronze medals. Similarly, Nohar Lal Patel in Renewable Energy, Om Banjare in Mechanical Engineering, Antara Mukherjee in Health and Social Care received Medal of Excellence.

It is noteworthy that the competition was successfully organized in the state by Chhattisgarh State Skill Development Authority. 3327 participants participated in the district level competition organized in 19 skill trades, out of which 381 participants were selected for the state level competition. The state level competition was held on 03 and 04 February 2026 in reputed institutions of Raipur, Durg and Raigarh districts. After practical evaluation, 38 participants were selected for the regional level. Successful participants at the regional level will now represent the state in the national competition. For the first time in the state, the competition was conducted comprehensively and transparently through innovations like Kaushal Tihar 2025 and mobile-based MCQ examination.
