Raipur : On the occasion of Polio Day, polio campaign will be organized in Chhattisgarh from 21 to 23 December 2025. On December 21, the first day of the campaign, a target has been set to administer polio vaccine to all children aged 0 to 5 years across the state. On 22nd and 23rd December, children who have missed polio doses will be given door to door doses. For the smooth operation of the campaign, an important meeting of the State Level Vaccination Task Force Committee was organized on Wednesday at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur.
Presiding over the meeting, Health and Family Welfare Department Secretary Amit Kataria gave clear instructions that no child should be left out in the Pulse Polio campaign. For this, instructions were given for wide publicity in urban and rural areas, door-to-door outreach and special focus on sensitive areas. He said that the success of the campaign on December 21 will decide the direction of the entire programme.
In the meeting, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Jha (Director, Health Services), Dr. Nirmala Yadav (Joint Director, RCH), D.S. Marawi (Women and Child Development Department), B. l. Dewangan (Public Instruction Department), Nisha Singh (UNDP), Nitin Patil and officers and employees of various departments were present. Everyone reiterated their commitment to make the campaign 100% successful on 21st December with departmental coordination.
In the meeting, Deputy Director and State Immunization Officer Dr. V.R. Bhagat gave detailed information to the committee about the entire outline of the campaign, micro planning, booth arrangement, mobile teams, transit teams and monitoring mechanism. He informed that the campaign will be run for three days, so that the left out children can also be covered.
