Woman dies during treatment in Betul’s Pooja Hospital, body referred to Rathi Hospital

Allegations of serious negligence on Pooja Hospital, uproar by family members after woman’s death A painful and shocking incident has come to light, where a 57-year-old woman died allegedly due to wrong treatment. The name of the deceased is said to be Kalyani Naidu, husband Rajendra Naidu, resident of Amla Bus Stand, who was working as a sweeper in the Air Force. According to family members, he had brought his mother to Betul on 25 February 2026. When he was not feeling well, he was taken to Pooja Hospital. It is alleged that during the examination, the doctor reported high BP and sugar, but necessary treatment was not given to normalize the condition. At around 5:20 pm on Wednesday evening, the woman was suddenly given an injection by the doctor and taken to the operation theatre. After about one and a half hours, he was brought out in a critical condition and his family members were asked to take him to another hospital. Family members allege that when they protested, another injection was given, after which the condition worsened. After this the woman was taken to Rathi Hospital, from where she was referred to the district hospital. Doctors declared him dead as soon as he reached the district hospital. After the incident, angry family members created a ruckus in the Puja Hospital premises. Police reached the spot and handled the situation. They are demanding strict action against the guilty doctor and hospital management. He says that till appropriate action is taken, currently the police is busy investigating the case and the body will be kept in the mortuary at night. Post mortem will be done in the presence of police in which the post mortem will be videographed under the supervision of three doctors. Now it has to be seen what truth comes out in the investigation and whether action is taken against those responsible or not.
