Tikamgarh. A case of former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti receiving threats to kill and bomb the family has come to light. In this regard, his daughter-in-law and District Panchayat President Umita Rahul Lodhi has lodged a complaint at the Dehat police station. Police have registered a case against unknown persons under various sections of the Indian Justice Code and started investigation. It is being told that the entire incident took place on the night of 22 February.
Objectionable comments and threats on Facebook posts
According to Umita Lodhi, she had shared a post on Facebook on 21 February. An objectionable comment was made on the same post at around 10:30 pm on 22nd February from an ID named GW Brijendra Kushwaha. The comment contained death and bomb threats to Umita Lodhi and her husband, former minister Rahul Lodhi.
Masked youth reached the bungalow after threat
As soon as Umita Lodhi saw the threatening comment, she saved its screenshot. He told that about half an hour after this incident, at around 11 pm, two masked youths reached his bungalow located in Dehat police station area. When he looked down from the balcony, the youth started abusing him and again threatened to kill him. After the noise, both the youths ran away from the spot.
Police registered FIR, investigation intensified
After the complaint was registered, the police took the matter seriously and registered an FIR against unknown accused under sections 296 (B), 351 (3) and 3 (5). Officials say that the footage of CCTV cameras installed in and around the bungalow is being scrutinized. Besides, the cyber cell team is also investigating the social media account from which the threat was made.
