Capital Bhopal. The university administration has taken major action in the case of ragging in Barkatullah University. Six students have been suspended in the ragging case. Along with this, the university administration has banned the entry of the accused students in classes and hostels for 6 months. Following the complaint of ragging, the committee had reached the campus to investigate.

Legal action will be taken if seen in class and hostel

Following the complaint of ragging in Barkatullah University, the investigation committee had reached the campus. When the committee reached the campus, there was a smell of ganja in the campus. After which the committee reprimanded the responsible officers present on the spot. Also, 6 senior students have been suspended.

First year student had complained

A first year student living in Jawahar Hostel of Barkatullah University had complained of ragging against her own senior. After which the investigation committee reached the hostel. Rishi Mishra, Ashish Shukla, Ahmed Khan, Kartik Kushwaha, Harsh Chaturvedi have been suspended in connection with the ragging complaint.

Ban on entry of students in classes and hostels for 6 months

Barkatullah University management has banned 6 students accused of ragging from coming to classes and hostels for 6 months. Along with this, it has also been instructed that if the suspended students are seen in the campus or hostel, action will be taken against them. Along with this, the university management has warned the remaining students that if any wrong activity is found in the hostel, strict action will be taken.
